Free Online Image Compression Tool
Prompts.Skin Image Compressor helps you reduce JPG, PNG, and WEBP file sizes directly in your browser — no software install, no account, and no server upload. Unlike traditional online compressors that send files to the cloud, every pixel is processed locally on your device for maximum privacy. Choose Intelligent Lossless mode for everyday optimization, Target Size mode when you need an exact KB limit (e.g. 50 KB for form uploads), or Resize Dimensions to shrink photos by width and height in pixels. Batch compress multiple images and download them individually or as a ZIP archive.

Image Compression FAQ
Answers to common questions about online image compression on Prompts.Skin.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Prompts.Skin processes images entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your files stay on your device and are never sent to our servers — unlike many online compressors that upload files temporarily.
Which image formats are supported?
We support JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. You can batch compress mixed formats. PNG files in Target Size or Resize mode are exported as JPEG for better size reduction.
What is the difference between the three compression modes?
Intelligent Lossless automatically balances quality and size (aiming for ~20% reduction). Target Size compresses to a specific KB you set — useful for exam registration and upload limits. Resize Dimensions changes width and height in pixels while keeping aspect ratio optional.
Will compression reduce image quality?
In Intelligent Lossless mode, quality loss is minimal for most photos. Target Size mode may reduce quality when hitting a very small KB limit. You can preview results and re-compress with different settings before downloading.
Can I compress an image to exactly 50 KB or 100 KB?
Yes. Select Target Size mode, enter your desired max size in KB (e.g. 50), and click Compress. The tool iteratively adjusts quality and dimensions to approach your target.
Can I compress multiple images at once?
Yes. Upload several files, compress them in one click, and download individually or as a ZIP archive when more than one image is processed.
Do I need to register or pay?
No registration or payment is required for the image compressor. It is free to use on Prompts.Skin alongside our AI image generation tools.
Can I use this for exam registration photos?
Yes. Many registration systems require photos under a specific KB (often 20–200 KB). Use Target Size mode with your required limit. For exact pixel dimensions (e.g. 295×413 px), combine with our Image Crop tool when available.
